• Pre-registration is $30 per person for online registration. Event day
registration will be $40/person. • Online pre-registration for kids under 12 is
$15 and $18 on event day. There is no-mail in registration. • Children under 18
must be accompanied by an adult. • Both tours feature beautiful River Road •
Your Tour de Gruene entry fee includes a collector’s commemorative t-shirt •
The first 500 entrants will receive a complimentary admission ticket to
Wurstfest • Pre-registrant check in and on site registration opens at 7:00 a.m.
in Gruene Hall on event day. • Prizes will be given in the following categories -
youngest entrant, oldest entrant, farthest distance traveled to participate and
family with the most participants. If you think you are eligible for one of these
awards, you must sign up at registration on event day. • Both routes are quite
hilly • All entrants must wear an ANSI, Snell or ASTM approved helmet. •
Door prize winners will be posted during the ride and may be picked up on
return to Gruene Hall. You must check the list and pick up your prize on event
day. • Proceeds benefit Friends for Rivers. • Both routes are out and back on
River Road.

Team Time Trial || November 4, 2007
• The pre-entry fee for all classes is
$60/team for pre-registration online and
$80/team on race day. There is no mail in
registration. The first team goes off at 8:01
a.m • On site registration opens at 7:00 a.m.
in Gruene Hall. • Two commemorative t-shirts
and two free admission tickets to Wurstfest
are included for the first 250 teams. • Age
categories are determined by the sum of
racing ages of both team members. (Ages on
12/31/07) • Snell, ANSI or ASTM approved
helmets are required. Prizes for all preregistration
events are unique Tour de Gruene
awards presented through three places in
each race. Race day entries will “Race for
Time” on the same course. • All times,
including pre-registered categories and day of
“Race for Time”, will be posted sequentially at
the end of racing. A special award will go to
the team with the greatest age differential.
Blitzgruppe means “lightning group” or fastest. It is equivalent to USCF Pro 1,2 and is the most competitive category. Mittelgruppe means “middle group” or moderate, medium. It is equivalent to USCF Cat 3, 4. Leichtestengruppemeans “easiest group.” It is equivalent to USCF Cat 4 or 5 for men and USCF Cat 4 for women. Beginners or first timers should consider this level.
These are suggested training distances to prepare for competition in a particular gruppe: Blitzgruppe: 200-400 miles a week of riding,
(Fastest level, compares to USCF Pro, 1,2) 6 to 7 days a week at a fast pace unless active recovery is required.
Mittelgruppe: 100-250 miles a week of riding,
(Middle level, compares to USCF Cat 3, 4) 4 to 6 days a week at a variety of up tempo paces.
Leichtestengruppe: 50 – 150 miles a week of riding,
(Easiest level, compares to USCF Cat 4, 5) 2 to 5 days a week riding at a variety of paces
